Return & Refund Policy

At Hertunba, we want you to be delighted with your purchase as each of our items is made to order and thoughtfully crafted. Because of the time and resources that go into each piece, we do not offer monetary refunds. However, we are happy to work with you to resolve any issues through exchanges or store credit, where applicable.. Kindly review the following policies on our returns, exchanges, and store credit.

Return Eligibility:

You may be eligible for a return if:

  • You received the wrong item, size, or color from what you ordered.

  • There is a quality concern or defect in the item delivered.

In these cases:

  • Please email us at info@hertunba.com or use our Return Request Form within 48 hours of receiving your item.

  • Include clear pictures and a brief description of the issue.

  • Once confirmed, we will cover the cost of return shipping and offer:
     

    • A replacement of the same item, or

    • Store credit if a replacement is unavailable.

 

Return Conditions:

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and returned in original packaging with all tags intact.

  • The return must be shipped within 7 days of initiating the request and delivered back to us within 30 days of original delivery.

 

Exchange Policy:

We understand that sometimes a piece may not fit as expected. If your item doesn’t fit right — for instance, the size is off or the length is too long — we’re happy to offer an exchange for a better fit.

Here’s how it works:

  • Exchanges are accepted for the same item in a different size, or

  • We can remake the piece based on your custom measurements.
     

    • Please note: Once customized, the item becomes a final sale and is not eligible for further return or exchange.

To initiate an exchange, please email us within 48 hours of receiving your item. Once approved, you’ll be given instructions on how to return your piece. Please send the item back within 30 days. After we receive and inspect the item, we’ll begin production of your new size or issue store credit (if preferred or if the item is unavailable).

Shipping Costs for Exchanges:

  • All shipping costs for exchanges — both to and from our studio — must be covered by the customer.

  • We do not refund any shipping fees, including the original delivery fee.
     

International Orders:

  • We accept international exchanges, but we do not provide return shipping labels.

If the item you want is unavailable in a different size or you’d prefer something else, we’ll issue store credit instead. As a small, made-to-order brand, we truly appreciate your understanding. These guidelines help us reduce waste, remain sustainable, and continue crafting pieces just for you.

 

Store Credit Issuance:

  • Store credit will be issued only after the returned item has been inspected and approved.

  • The store credit will be delivered as a digital gift card or coupon code within 5 working days of item approval.

  • Store credit is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance and is non-transferable.

 

Important Information 

  • Custom orders and discounted sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

  • Hertunba is not responsible for the cost of return shipping. All return-related shipping and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

 

Shipping Policy

Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of placement. After that window, production begins and cancellation of the order will not be accepted. 

Production timeline is 7-10 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays)

Local & Interstate Shipping

  • Lagos delivery: 3–5 working days

  • Other Nigerian cities: 5–7 working days via DHL

International Shipping

  • Processing: 5–7 working days

  • Shipped via DHL Express

  • Tracking details will be sent via email once your order ships

Customs and Duties: All duties and import fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please contact your local customs office for estimates and regulations.

Failed Deliveries

Please ensure that your shipping address and phone number are correct at checkout. If a delivery fails due to incorrect or incomplete details, you will be charged a re-delivery fee. Hertunba is not liable for missed deliveries caused by inaccurate information provided by the customer.

 

A Note on Sustainability

As a sustainable brand, we kindly ask that you confirm your size, measurements, and interest in an item before placing an order. Each piece is handcrafted with care, and minimizing unnecessary returns helps reduce excess packaging waste and carbon emissions from global shipping. Your mindful shopping choices support a more thoughtful fashion ecosystem—for both people and the planet.
